NoVA’s Veterans Day Events

Veteran's Day is a time for us to reflect on and honor the sacrifices made by our heroic men and women of the Armed Forces. It's not only a time for us to pay homage to those currently serving, but perhaps even more importantly, a time for us to salute those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Veterans Day began as the recognition of the celebrated ending of World War I fighting at 11 a.m., November 11, 1918 (the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month). The day became known as “Armistice Day.”
